Special Operation Forces Litter (SOF-L) also known as APE Litter (All Purpose Evacuation) is ideal for mounted operations, and compatible with multiple evacuation platforms. This is a quad folding litter that deploys from the folded configuration to patient carrying configuration faster than all others. The APE litter allows for the carrying of patients over rough terrain for extended distances. All components of the litter frame are field replaceable, including bed covers and patient restraints. Self leveling feet mitigate damage to rotary wing floors. Optional items include a Spare Parts Kit (SPK), litter carrier, Mesh-Decon, TCCC or Fluid Absorbent bed covers.
Fielded since 2011 in the USSOCOM TCCC CASEVAC Program.
