CSWB-4U, Cold Stored Whole Blood 4 Unit Container
The Golden Hour Container (GHC) improves the chances of survival for a wounded soldier by providing a supply of cold fresh whole blood for treatment at the point of injury on the battlefield during the crucial hour immediately following an injury when immediate evacuation to a treatment facility is unavailable.
Golden Hour containers have been fielded as part of the Transportation 3-4 Module, USSOCOM TCCC CASEVAC Program since 2011.
Designed to maintain blood in the 1° to 10° C range for 72-90 hours in environments from -24° to 40° C, 10 lbs fully loaded weight. Removable Thermal Insulated Chamber (TIC) containing Phase Change Material (PCM) is easily preconditioned for use in any standard freezer
